A Day for the Delicious Furuta Fresh Cream Chocolate

Today, and October 14th annually, is Furuta Fresh Cream Chocolate Day フルタ生クリーム チョコの日 in Japan. The anniversary was established by the manufacturers, Furuta, who are based in Osaka. They chose 10/14 for the date as it can be read as "ichiban (1) o (0) i (1) shi (4)" meaning "the most delicious". I personally love it and give it a high rating, as you can see in the review section of City-cost.

The commemorative day honours Furuta’s popular Nama Cream Chocolate (Fresh Cream Chocolate), a long-selling product featuring rich milk chocolate wrapped around fresh Hokkaido cream, giving it a smooth and creamy flavour. The anniversary was created to celebrate the product’s 30th anniversary in 2022, to encourage employees, preserve the brand’s history, and introduce the chocolate to even more people. It was officially recognized and registered by the Japan Anniversary Association in 2022.

Furuta has been producing confectionery since 1952 and is known for a variety of beloved chocolate products. Fresh Cream Chocolate remains one of its signature treats, offering a luxurious yet comforting chocolate experience that has continued to attract fans for decades.
