Rudbeckia, a birthday flower of July 21st

Rudbeckia ルドベキア, also known by the curious name of Black-eyed Susan, is one of the birthday flowers of July 21st annually. It is also the birthday flower of July 31st and August 25th.
They say the bloom period for Rudbeckia in Japan is from July to October. However, I see them most in June in Saitama Prefecture. The photo in this post was taken in June too. Like the majority of Rudbeckia in Japan, it is the Hirta variety, which is the one known as Black-Eyed Susan. There is also a Triloba variety, which is known as Brown-Eyed Susan! Both got their names from the color of the flower's center.
In the Japanese language of flowers, the hanakotoba, Rudbeckia represents "Justice", "Fairness" and "Gazing at you". The latter coming from the "eye" symbolism. In English floriography, it also means "justice / fairness".
Former nickname was "Saitama". Changed it to save confusion on place review posts! Irish, 20+ years in Japan! I also write on my personal website: insaitama.com
