The description
Peach flavor of a non traditional Daifuku with a jelly sauce, rather than a whole piece of fruit, in the center of chewy mochi rice, sprinkled with white powder.
The good
The size of this Daifuku is really good. Its just a few bites. Some people may eat it in one bite, but I wouldn't recommend that. See the 'not so good" section for why. I like the idea of this mochi - fruit paste rather than a whole fruit in the center of the pounded 'mochi' rice. i personally prefer the texture of the paste in the center of the mochi rather than a fruit piece. However, I didn't like this flavor much. But the first bite was really good, possibly because i only took a little bit of the peach in.
The not so good
The white coating that is sprinkled on the product is also quite messy. It falls off with every bite. With the result we all had white powder on our clothes after eating! It was on the floor under us too. Moreover, I found this particular flavor more of a choking hazard than the other flavors. I don't know if was just unlucky and got a dud or if for some reason the peach paste is more stringy and sticky than the other flavors. I nearly choked with each and every bite! Mochi always has a choking risk, but it seemed to be intensified with this particular Daifuku. We got this product for 108 yen, but I think its usually more expensive. I would buy this flavor again at a higher price.
