First and foremost, this gummy is not for me. I did not like the taste and texture. But credit where credit is due; these gummies offer a truly unique taste and experience. But for me it was like eating painfully sour ice shards. But my children who have tried it really like it. What makes it so unique is the texture which mixes a hard and crunchy outside with a soft and fluffy inside. I am sure it has a fan base, but I am not in it! At 158 yen per pack, it's reasonably priced. They are widely available at stores around Japan.

The negative for me can be summed up in one sentence; this product tries to be too much. Apart from the unusual and non-appealing mix of textures, the gummies also try to pitch themselves as being somewhat healthy because they contain bifodobacterium, which is meant to be good for the stomach. More than anything what I didn't like about this product is how sour they are. I like a bit of sour every now and then, but these were far too sour. So much so not only did my eyes water, but I got a pain under my eyes!
