The description
This snack product is a pack of seven "twin choco" muffins; chocolate muffins with a creamy chocolate filling. They are individually wrapped with cute bear themed packaging.
The good
This snack product is a pack of seven "twin choco" muffins, which is written in English on the outside of the pack. Gyomu Supermarket imports a lot of their products, but there is Japanese on the pack too, so they may be wrapped specifically in Japan. The country of origin listed on the pack is Vietnam. The reason it says "twin choco" in English and "double choco" in Japanese is because they are chocolate muffins with a creamy chocolate filling. They are really quite delicious and not just I thought so, my three tween and teenage daughters also really like them.
The not so good
At first bite I thought they were a little dry, but then on the second bite and I realised that there is a creamy chocolate on the inside too, which cancelled out the dry taste! I bought these muffins for the first time in Gyomu today, because the muffins I usually buy weren't available. I have never seen this product elsewhere before, and its not uncommon for Gyomu to exclusively import treats like this, so they may not be widely available in Japan. Have you ever seen them on sale in another store in Japan? If so, please do tell me where! The price is good at 248 yen, but they were on special offer today. I don't think I will buy them often if the regular price is more than 300 yen. But I definitely will buy them, regardless of the price, every now and then as they were a huge hit.
