The description
The cheese flavor of Lawson Convenience Store's legendary Karaage kun, a bite sized chicken nugget product available nationwide but at Lawson Conbini only.
The good
The cheese flavor of Karaage kun was my favorite for the longest time, but its now second on my list. It was replaced by the Golden flavor. There are five bite sized 'karaage kun', which are quite like chicken nuggets, in one pack. They come with a toothpick so you can eat them easily on the go. They are readily available at Lawson Convenience stores around Japan. At 238 yen for the pack (cute packaging) they are not expensive, but they wouldn't fill you either. I tend to get an onigiri with them for a more filling lunch.
The not so good
There is another reason the cheese flavor is no longer my favorite Karaage kun flavor. And that is because it has been hit and miss lately. I have had it when it was really good and twice in the last couple of months its been oh so wrong! Its like the cheese had gone off or something. Or maybe it was cooked for too long. I don't know. But when its bad its really really bad! However, on the flip side, when its good its addictive! They are only available at Lawson Convenience stores, which is a pity. But thankfully there are plenty of Lawson conbini in Saitama prefecture!
