These potato chips (crisps) were so good. I haven't seen many sour cream and onion flavor potato chips in Japan in the past, except for Pringle's which are widely available. I was drawn to these Top Valu's ones by the price. They are in their "Best Price" (Bestprice) range and I do think they are very good value for money. They are just 88 yen for a sixty five gram pack, which was pretty standard for years, but most of the other potato chip brands have put up their prices lately. The taste reminded me of sour cream and onion flavor potato chips back home, so I will definitely be buying these again.

Because the brand is Top Valu (TopValu), a brand of retailer giant AEON, it might be hard to pick these up in competing supermarkets. I was surprised to see them in Welcia today. And I think they are new to my local Welcia because I haven't seen them before. I also haven't seen them in any of the other supermarkets I use. We don't have an Aeon or one of their sister brands anywhere near us, so if Welcia stop stocking them I won't be able to pick them up easily anymore. They had a whole range of TopValu potato chips today. After enjoying the thick cut sour cream and onion flavor so much, I will now have to try the other flavors too!
