Aviation Meets Disaster Preparedness at Fukui Airport

As part of Japan's annual Sky Day celebrations, Fukui Airport will hold an event that is slightly different to the other events I introduced earlier today. The Sky and Disaster Prevention Open Day will be held at the Airport on 26th September 2026, offering visitors a chance to see how Fukui Airport and aviation supports both transportation and emergency response.

This year's event is particularly significant as it commemorates the 30th anniversary of the disaster prevention aviation unit based at Fukui Airport.
