The description
This is a potato chips, aka crisps, product review of Koikeya's "strong" brand. A 55 gram bag of delicious sour cream and onion flavored, thick cut crispy potato chips.
The good
These are really delicious and it would seem they have been on the market for a few years, but I only tasted them recently. It would seem they are very popular in Japan: Japanramen and Ekimsaido also reviewed this product and as Ekimsaido pointed out in their review - Koikeya claim that the sour cream and onion flavor of their range of "strong" flavored potato chips is one of their best sellers. I would well believe it. They also claim that there is three times as much flavor in their "strong" range of potato chips (crisps), and I also believe that to be true too! Judging by both Japanramen and Ekimsaido's reviews, the product has had a packaging upgrade recently. You can see that the packaging is different in this review than in theirs. I really like the new packaging.
The not so good
The biggest downside: they taste so good that I personally could and would eat far too many of these if I didn't keep myself in check. I would also say that the package is quite small at just 55 grams. However, it is probably just as well the pack isn't too big! I would also say a negative for me personally is that they don't have prime location in the stores, despite supposedly being one of Koikeya's best sellers. Maybe its exactly because of that though, that they are hidden away on lower shelves - people will look for them anyway without them being in the key retail space at eye level. Now that I know about them, I will intently search for them when I am in the mood to buy some!
