Japan Goals: to revisit Fukui Prefecture
When looking at the most recent posts by Prefecture on City-cost, I noticed that Fukui Prefecture is another that is quite unrepresented on the site. But reading the excellent City-cost post, Why Fukui deserves to be on your Japan travel itinerary, has reignited a desire to revisit the area.

I was in Fukui Prefecture many years ago, in 2001. Honestly, I cannot remember why and / or where we visited! I was a student at the time, on in an Internship in a Japanese conglomerate, and my life-focus was very different to what it is now. I have always wanted to revisit. I had it quite high up on my list of places I want to go when my son was going through a dinosaur phase, more than 10 years ago now. It would have been cool to visit while he was still interested.
Earlier in the year I asked City-costers what they most associated with Fukui. It will come as no surprise that dinosaurs was the most common answer. But Genkidesu mentioned the Tojinbo Cliffs in her answer too, and I subsequently found an interesting post on City-cost about the cliffs and I would like to visit them - among other places - on my next visit to Fukui, whenever that may be. Where else would you recommend?
