The description
Chip Star's Lightly Salted Potato Chips in a tall cylinder are a crisp, clean and easy to snack on treat. The gentle salt brings out the potato taste.
The good
My favorite thing about Chip Star Potato Chips is that they come in a cylinder made of hard paper, possibly some type of cardboard, that protects the potato chips. It makes them ideal for outings and travel in general as they don't break up in the bag. Especially as you can open and close the packet as much as you like. That is a big advantage it has over most other potato chips, except Pringles which also come in a container. The Chip Star potato chips also have an extra layer of wrapping within the container, that also helps keep them intact and keeps them fresh too. The texture is light and the chips are thin, crisp and gently salted.
The not so good
The price varies greatly from store to store. I don't always print off my receipts, so I may be recalling the price wrongly for this large size, but they generally cost from around 190 yen to 240 yen. This is the large size, which is great for sharing. It might be too large for just one person to eat alone. However, as above, because you can close and open the container as little or as often as you want, you don't need to eat them all in one go. You could - and we have - eat the potato chips over several days a little at a time!
