The description
This product is a pack of five individually wrapped, treat size, soft, sweet and moist, chocolate cake slices. This is an import product, from Spain.
The good
These "Chococake slices" from Spanish company Mas Aliu, which apparently is known for its kid friendly snacks in Spain, are not widely available in Japan from what I can tell. It is always nice to try something different and / or something that is only available for a limited period of time. Beisia randomly had them in stock this week. I have never seen them on sale there before. They had two different types on sale - for the record, I preferred the other one, the Marble Cake (also reviewed on City-cost). I like that each of the slices are individually wrapped and that there are five in a pack.
The not so good
However, these were far too sweet and tangy for me. They left an awful after taste, like as if they were drenched in a liquor, which I don't think they are. If you like chocolate though you might like them. They are double chocolate - chocolate cake with a thin layer of chocolate coating too. Beisia may not bring this product in to their range full time. I think they were just a limited-time or opportunistic import. So if you do end up liking them and want to buy them again, you may find it hard to source them again. Right now, one online website has them listed, but they are three times the price on it.
