Mini Kimio Yajima exhibition at temple in Kawagoe
A few weeks back Genkidesu asked City-cost members who their favorite artists, past or present, are. In that Q&A I explained that I am a fan and follower of a local artist in Kawagoe, Kimio Yajima, who works mainly with Styrofoam.
Yesterday, I visited a local temple I often go to for their hanachozu and much to my surprise and delight, there is a mini exhibition with four of Yajima's pieces on display. I had seen three of them already, but it was my first time to see the fourth and I absolutely love it:

It is based on the Three Wise Monkeys, which are famously carved at Toshogu Shrine in Nikko. They represent "See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil". As you can see, this version is of frogs! Yajima is known for his frog pieces. There is another frog piece in the display too.
