The joy of a 500 yen discount and present at Nojima

I don't have a Nojima (electronics retailer) near my house, but there are two near Kawagoe Station that I shop at sometimes when I am in the station area. Yesterday, was one of those days. I was just buying a screen protecter for my phone, a purchase of 2080 yen. But when I got to the register, the very professional, savvy and patient sales clerk advised me that if I signed up for the App I could get a free eco-bag. So, I signed up!

As I was entering the necessary information to sign up for the App, she was telling me other benefits of it. I didn't quite catch why, but I was also given 500 points on the App just for signing up. Which I then used for my purchase, along with some D points, and my screen protecter only cost me 1530 yen. I don't see any information for a sign-up point campaign on their website, so it may have been a branch specific promotion. Either way, I was delighted with myself!

What I do see on their website is that they currently have a lottery that anyone with the App can participate in, without even making a purchase. The lottery can be entered once per day per person across all Nojima stores, and prizes are awarded as Nojima Super Points, with a top prize of 4,000 points (¥4,000 value). You may not win anything, but you won't lose anything either!
