The characters are surprisingly well made and quite cute. For a small child it would probably be quite exciting opening each egg to see which character they received. The excitement is lost on older children, but its still a nice gift to receive. They are basically the same as kinder surprise in Europe, but with better items inside the capsule. The chocolate is really nice and its a good size too. The wrapping is cute too. I have seen this product in many stores over the years, so they are relatively available. You can also buy them online.

My thirteen year old girl didn't mind which Tom & Jerry character she received in each of the eggs, but possibly a small child might be disappointed if the character they want wasn't contained within the capsule in the egg. If you want to collect the full range, you would have to fork out quite a bit of money! The product is very expensive and has gone up exponentially in the last three years. I got it for 880 yen in store (PLAZA) which is the same price as some online stores, but they are currently a lot more expensive on Amazon.
