The description

This product by Ululis, available in Don Quijote and drug stores, is a mascara style hairstyling product designed to tame flyaway hair or unruly strands of hair.

The good

My introduction to Ululis was through one of my daughters, which is often the case these days! Apparently, this is a common product in Japanese handbags. It is a hairstyling product that comes in a stick, much like a mascara. Even the brush part of the product, which you use to apply the product to your hair, looks exactly like the brush on mascara. One stick only costs 980 yen (before tax) in Don Quijote (Donki) stores. It might be more expensive online or in a drug store. Or it might be cheaper! But the Donki price is reasonable I think. Thankfully, it is easy to come by so you can easily price it in your local drug store or even supermarket (in some cases) and you might be able to pick it up for cheaper.

The not so good

If you don't read Japanese it is quite possible that you could mistake this product for mascara if you didn't see it in its original package. The packaging it comes in when you buy it in a store has photos on it which show that the product is used in your hair, not on your eyes. But there are no such photos on the stick itself. There are different colors of this product and, honestly, I don't know what the difference is between them. I got the purple because my daughter that uses it the most, also has the purple one. But another daughter has the blue one! Overall, though, if you tie your hair up a lot and want to easily fix flyaway hair, this product is useful in my opinion. There may be better versions of it, but this is a cheap option for first time users to try out the concept.
