Izumi nature park

The Izumi nature park is a little bit outside of Chiba city, but you can reach it by bus or by car. Especially during the cherry blossom season the parking area gets very crowded and you might have to wait long. Parking fee for one day is 400 Yen. The park is a large nature reserve with a small grove, mountains, a river and large meadows. I really loved the moss area, where I grabbed a place under a tree. Although the parking lot was extremely crowded and you even had to queue, the park seemed totally empty due to its size. The are many nice spots for a picnic or playing with you kids. You can even rent a bicycle and go around the cycling course, which is made only for bicycles. But for sure the best is the Forest Adventure Park, where you can climb high in the trees and swing by ropes to the forrest (reservation is required). The park is perfect for a relaxing day in the nature with the whole family!
