Kitamoto Nature Observation park

Great for nature walks

Kitamoto Nature Observation park is our go to when the kids have been asking a lot about flora, fauna or wildlife. The park has guided tours which are very informative and educational. You can also just enjoy a leisurely walk around the park without signing up for a tour. The park isn't as large as it first appears. You could easily walk the circumference in an hour. It links up to other parks though, if you wanted to extend your walk. There is a nature study hall in the park. It is the designated Saitama Prefecture nature learning center. It is currently closed due to coronavirus, but the park itself is open. Free parking. Vending machines in the parking lot. The park itself is theoretically open 24 hours, but the car park closes at night. There is no lighting in the park and quite a lot of wildlife, so they encourage people to leave by dusk.
