Some of Everything
One thing you want from a good park is space, greenery, and good facilities. It does have a bit of all. There is a history museum there. Limited space for kids to run around. Plenty of greenery to look at though. However, being the park at the bottom of Mt. Kinka means that you probably won't spend much time there before riding the cable car up to the castle. It getting outshined does make the park a bit less attractive than it should be. But if you are looking for a good park walk, this is quite nice.

A cute park nestled at the bottom of a mountain
I frequent this park because it is a free to get myself outside and plus it is near where I live. My favorite parts about this park is that there are good photo spots, they have shaved ice and fresh dango, and there are some waterfalls. There is not a ton of stuff to do, but it is a great place for a picnic! The cherry blossoms in April are gorgeous!
