Matsudo City's former castle and military site

My approach to Matsudo City's Central Park was up a long flight of stairs, but I recommend you take the steep winding path on the south side to get a sense of the fortification that once stood on this hilltop spot. At the entrance to the park is a gate that remains from a military school. Within the gate are wide spaces, huge pine trees, and the foundations of various fortifications. It's got a little playground, a playing field, and spots to sit in the shade of the trees.
