A reason why it's regarded as one of the world's best airports

I've been to quite a number of airports around the world, and there's definitely a reason why Haneda is regarded close to the top of world's best airport lists annually. Terminal 3 is home to the Edo marketplace area, which I think is a charming step back in time representation of Japan to visitors. Some quality restaurants and places to shop for souvenirs are located in that area, so it's well worth a browse!

    Better than I remembered it!

I recently fly in and out of Terminal 3 in Haneda Airport for the first time in years. I was pleasantly surprised. They've evidently done a lot of work on it recently and there are some nice features. For example, the Haneda Nihonbashi Bridge, along with the Edo period styled dining and shopping area, which combined give a distinct feeling of being in a "Japanese" airport! There's not much after you go through security, but enough that you can eat and pick up a few essentials. But if you want to get an English book or have a better choice of eateries, I advise you do that before you go through security.
