The Lucky Star Shrine finally has a new torii!

Washinomiya Shrine is said to be the oldest shrine in Kanto. In addition, it is also known for featuring in the popular anime "Lucky Star". The shrine's torii famously collapsed in August 2018. But I am happy to report that sometime between March 2021 and March 2022 they put up a new torii! Because of its prestige, the shrine is the second most visited shrine over New Years in the whole of Saitama. In addition, many fans of the anime Lucky Star make a pilgrimage to the shrine. You can see their impressive drawings of Lucky Star characters on prayer plaques at the shrine.
