Gorgeous in spring
Toyanogata Park is a great spot to visit during the spring season in Niigata, as it's home to both plum trees and sakura trees. It's not just beautiful in spring, though -- you can enjoy various other blooms at different times of year, plus changing autumn leaves and even some illuminations during the colder months.

Toyanogata Park
This is one of the biggest park in Niigata. It encircles the Toyanogata Lake and is close to big swan stadium. The path around the lake is huge and for someone who wishes to run around it is awesome. It is a perfect place for summer picnic and since there are lots of things for children to play with , it is kids paradise. Sakura is great in spring but summer in general is also great because of the greenery.
