Mother Leaf Tea Style

Nice place for a break

Mother Leaf Tea Style is a nice café I found just next to Akishima station. Looking on their website I see that their concept goes with enjoying black tea in a casual way. However, I didn't went there for the tea - they actually have a big variety of hot and cold drinks. I stopped by because I got interested into the waffles they had in their window. They offer them with different toppings. I went with the easy chocolate one and it was really yummy to have the warm waffle with the slowly melting cream on it. I combined with an iced cocoa, getting my choco level for that day up to the top. Next to sweets, they also have some hearty dishes such salads and omurice, but it is rather a cafe then a restaurant. At the Mother Leaf Tea Style in Akishima you order at the counter and also get your orders there. If it take a bit longer, the staff will bring it to your table later. The menu was only available in Japanese with just a view pictures, which makes it a little bit difficult to order if you can't read Japanese. You also have to clean your table by yourself.
