Don't be put off by the building

Moa Shogetsudo is an old fashioned bakery in Kawagoe, at the back of Kawagoe Maruhiro. It doesn't look much from the outside and even through the window it is not the most appealing of scenes. It looks like a Showa period office, rather than a bakery. But when you go in, you will see delicious homemade breads and pastry type sweets. Its written "Moa Shogetsudo" on the door of the bakery, but the "moa" is from the English "more". Arrive before lunch to get a wider selection. Anything I've ever had has been absolutely delicious, so like many others, I go back often. There is no parking lot.
