Traditional sweets near Yahiko Station

Bunsuido Confectionery is located in super easy walking distance from Yahiko Station (under 5 minutes), and it's also right by the Yahiko Tourist Information Center. Because of the store's great location, it makes it easy to pick up some goodies either before or after your exploration of the area. The specialty here are panda-shaped pastries filled with zunda (edamame paste), which I typically associate with Sendai – it was cool to see it here in Niigata though. They also have a variety of other fillings for the panda pastries including regular custard cream and sakura flavored cream.
