Free zoo kids will enjoy

I didn't give Omiya Park a particularly good review, because I think the playground could be better and a few other reasons. But the cherry blossoms in this park are stunning and, reversely, underrated. The zoo is pretty good too. Years ago I had a weekly play date with my kids in Omiya park and the zoo wasn't great at the time. Thankfully they have made great improvements in recent years. You can still see the animals up close, but some of them have more space than they did before. However, there are still some enclosures that are too small, in my humble opinion. They have an interaction time when kids can hold smaller animals. But the best bit - its free... if you want to keep costs down, don't let the kids see the fairground right beside the zoo, which could end up costing you more than a trip to a zoo with an entrance fee!
