    Easy to access, easy parking

I thought I already reviewed this Ikea but I must have forgotten to! I've visited here many times when I lived in Fussa near Tachikawa, and we still have quite a few of our Ikea furniture pieces from here that are still going strong, like our bed and couch. We also had our kids crib and toddler bed from here as well. Definitely a good option if you're in Tokyo and prefer Western style/sized furniture, because I've found most Japanese furniture stores have those low profile couches that aren't to everyone's tastes. One thing I really like about this store is that it's got easy parking, which isn't always the case at some places!

    Well-laid-out IKEA

I’ve been to a couple of IKEA stores around Tokyo, and IKEA Tachikawa is the most well-laid-out store. Expect a lot of walking since there are large furniture displays. The majority of products are reasonably priced for the quality they provide. With an IKEA family card, you can receive discounts on selected items and exclusive member prices at the restaurant. Signing up is definitely worth it! You can get there by train or car, so it's a good place to go when you are furnishing your house. It’s a 10 to 15-minute walk from Tachikawa station. But If you decide to drive, keep in mind that parking is not free unless you buy something, so be sure to keep your receipt.
