Onomichi Historical Museum

Former Onomichi Bank head office

This building used to be the Onomichi Bank head office and is interesting from a historical and architectural point of view. As for the museum itself, currently there is not much going on. Only the first floor is open and there is an exhibit dedicated to red toys, such as daruma or akabeko. No English available, but the staff is very friendly. Once access to all areas is restored, might be worth a second visit to see the closed parts and new temporary exhibitions. There is a combined ticket with Onomichi Cinema Museum that costs 520 yen, and which I recommend, since there is more to see in that museum.
