Spectacular temple complex in Narita City, not to be missed
This Shingon Buddhist temple is a must see in Narita City. The temple celebrates Fudomyo, the deity of immovability, and the central figure is said to have been carved by the Buddhist saint Kobo Daishi. The approach to the temple, called Omotesando, is part of the charm of the location. It's a journey back in time strolling down from Narita Station to Shinshoji, New Victory Temple, the center of Narita City. There are many events throughout the year at the temple, but perhaps the biggest is Narita Gion, a three-day celebration in early July that sees gorgeous floats, dancers, and drummers parade in the streets.
