Closed permanently
The Guinness World Record holding Teamlab Borderless was one of the most popular trendy attractions for overseas visitors between 2018 and when Japan closed its borders. Unfortunately, it closed its doors permanently during the pandemic. However, it was not because of the pandemic that it closed, but due to a redevelopment project. Never fear, TeamLab planets is still open. It was actually supposed to close at the end of this year (2023), but they have extended the end date to 2027!

Interactive Fun
This is a great place if you appreciate art, interactive fun, and taking selfies or videos or tiktok or whatsoever. My friend and I spent a couple of hours there just having fun, adjusting the angle to make the most Instagram worthy shots (to which we both failed). My favourite part was the interactive part where you could colour a fish, and they scan it so the fish becomes a digital moving fish swimming on the wall. That was pretty cool to see! Besides it being pricy, it is worth checking out!

So much fun
TeamLab Borderless is scheduled to close in August of 2022, so if you want to visit I highly recommend doing so sooner rather than later. It's such a fun, immersive experience where you really get to enjoy art in a unique way. It's also fantastic for kids, my 7 and 4 year old thought it was incredible. Not sure how they would have fared if they were younger, but this age was perfect. A little pricier than most art museums at 3200 yen for adults and 1000 yen for kids, but I think it was still worth it!
