    Mizusawa temple

The Mizusawa Temple in Shibukawa (Gunma) was built 1300 years ago directly on a hill. The temple is a Buddhist temple that idols the patron god Kannon. The temple complex consists of several buildings, including the main temple, a bell house and a pagoda in red with many colorful ornaments. The hexagonal, two-story pagoda is very special with a rotating inner pillar. Supposedly it should be good for the heart (especially in heart disease), if you walk along with the rotating column three times. I liked the most the large beautiful entrance gate, which was guarded by several grim-looking protective ghosts. However, there was something not so nice at the temple complex. At first we thought a fire broke out, as it had smoked incredibly strong everywhere. These were countless incense clouds. Sometimes it was really hard to breathe.
