Suigo-Itako Iris Garden

Beautiful even out of season

The Suigo-Itako Iris Garden is relatively famous. I have yet to visit it while the iris are in bloom, but it is really picturesque even out of season. Moreover, they actually have other seasonal flowers too. Such as cherry blossoms in spring and hydrangea in summer. There are 12 bridges in the area and you can do a tour of them on a boat. There is also a famous statue, the 'Itako bride', and they have a "Yomeiri-bune" (bridal boat) event that is popular.
