Atami Sun Beach

Not that big, but lovely sand and scenery

The Atami Sun Beach is located in the tourist area of Atami City. As such, its usual quite busy there. However, if you can visit early morning or out of season, its possible to enjoy this beach in tranquility! The sand is particularly nice, in my humble opinion. Its not that fine so it has a nice texture to walk on and to make sand castles with. In addition, it is quite a picturesque beach because there is more than just sea! You can admire the cove from the beach and there are some natural rock features too. There is also a shopping street right behind the beach.
