Pseudo-Italian lunch and izakaya spot

This Spanish-Italian cuisine restaurant does pasta lunch sets until 3 p.m. and then opens for dinner from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. I arrived at 2 p.m. and was offered the pasta plate menu that includes a buffet with salad, soup, and side dishes. I opted for the tomato and mascarpone spaghetti. The buffet was a little sparse, but then I arrived at the end of the lunch service. The pasta arrived on a large plate with a small amount of cheese nestled on top. The pasta was al dente, the sauce rich and the cheese lightly sharp. Not bad. But the vibe is so odd. A projector showing Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (silent) and the stereo system playing Jack-Johnsonesque (but not Jack Johnson) music. The meal came with a comically small glass of draft beer. I wasn't offered tea or coffee. The host saw me to the door and as I stepped on the deck, the surface gave and I braced myself - a quake? Nope, the host apologized saying the joists are weak. Like a trampoline. The whole experience was odd. The diners that arrived after me left before I did...
