Unfortunately Blooming Bloomy PePe Hon-Kawagoe closed permanently earlier this week, on January 13th 2026, as the whole of Pepe Hon-Kawagoe shut its doors forever on the same day. The property has been marked for a new development. Some say PePe may open again, but even it does the individual shops, like Blooming Bloomy are unlikely to reopen.

Good for bentos
I'm seeing Blooming Bloomy supermarkets here, there and everywhere recently! In Saitama Prefecture, they seem to be near train stations in particular. This branch is located in PePe in Hon Kawagoe station and as such is very convenient. Pepe is connected to the station, so you can easily access this supermarket which is in the basement of the building. Their bento are quite filling and reasonably priced.
