Pick up a souvenir or just soak up the atmosphere

The Shin-Nakamise Shopping street has dozens of shops, some of which sell souvenirs. Its a nice place to bring visitors. Whether they want to buy souvenirs or not, they can soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the sights. If you visit after 5 pm, when most of the shops close, or early morning you can also enjoy the beautiful vistas on the shutters of the shops.

    Busy spot, but fun atmosphere

The Shin-Nakamise Shopping Street in Tokyo's Asakusa area is a busy spot for some retail therapy, but I think that's part of what adds to the charm. There are plenty of options to pick from for both food and other items, and the proximity to other tourist attractions like Senso-ji mean that it's easy to tack onto a day of sightseeing in the area. Keep it in mind if you are showing international friends/family around and you need a break from inclement weather!
