Great Mediterranean/Middle Eastern Cuisine and pleasant ambience

If you're looking for a nice date night spot in the outer Tokyo/Saitama area, I highly recommend Carvaan in Hanno. We visited here when we lived in the Tokyo 'burbs a while back, and it had such a lovely ambience and great food that I'd encourage anyone in the area to head there at least once. The menu focuses on Middle Eastern/Mediterranean cuisine, which I'm a huge, huge fan of. The menu clearly outlines options for vegetarians, vegans, and also which dishes are halal, so that's another great win. The bread with hummus, tabouli, olive tapenade and more makes an awesome starter, and they have so many main dishes including moussaka, shakshuka, meat dishes, Arabian-style burgers (including a vegan option) and tons more.
