Kuremonya

Chips and coke in one

Kuremonya is one of only two eateries in the food court in Cheerio Shopping Center in Kashima. The other is a crepe shop. As such, Kuremonya is the only one with lunch options. They have light meals, mainly Okonomiyaki, but some rice dishes too. Between us we tried a pork dish, karage and two Okonomiyaki dishes. The meals seem quite cheap, but when you see the size of the portions you realize its not cheap at all. They're tiny! But the chips and coke although not cheap considering what you get, weren't bad either at 400 yen, for the novelty value. The chips sit in a plastic dish at the top of a large coke cup, with a straw popping through. I've never seen it served like this before - but it was pretty cool.
