Casual atmosphere, excellent drink selection

A short walk from Nagareyama Ootakanomori Station is a new and vibrant neighborhood of specialty restaurants and bars. In one of the newer and stylish buildings is Astore, a casual wine and craft beer bar. Astore has a wide selection of European wines but what really stunned me and my dining companion was the attention paid to craft beer. Astore has a number of regional and very local craft brews on tap and in the cooler at the entrance. We savored Spring Valley on tap and were pleased by the quality and flavor. We also tried Kashiwa-based Beer Brain IPA. The accompanying dishes are imaginative, flavorful and set off the aromas of the beer and wine selection.
