Shimosato waterfall

If its good enough for the Emperor...

This beautiful river area is marked on maps as "Shimasato Waterfall". We did find a really small waterfall, like tiny, but I'm not sure if its the one that is marked on maps! We've been several times now and while we never found a waterfall of note, we do love this area river play! It is really off the beaten path, so its rarely crowded. Just a kilometer or two down the road the same river is always jammed on weekends during the summer. A stone at this site commemorates a visit from the Emperor and Empress to this scenic river spot.
