A nationally designated Important Cultural Property of Japan

Taho Tower is a pagoda on the grounds of Kanasana Shrine. It is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property of Japan. It is also one of Saitama's prominent wooden structures. It was built in 1534 by Zensho Abo. He built as a prayer of happiness for his future descendant's happiness. The pagoda is framed by maple trees so it looks particularly picturesque in Autumn. Parking for the pagoda is shared with the shrine's parking. There is a small park of sorts around the pagoda with some other points of interest, which are also reviewed on City-cost. They are linked below in the "in the area" section.
