Nothing to write home about
We were walking around Tokyo when we walked past this location of Schmatz in Nakameguro, so decided to pop in and grab a bite to eat. We opted for the schnitzel parmigiana and thought we'd just split it since we weren't starving. Portion sizes were good, but I was bummed that the parmigiana was covered in a cheese sauce rather than actual cheese. Call me a weirdo, I enjoy cheese but despite cheese sauce, and it wasn't obvious by the pictures on the menu that it was sauce rather than the real deal. My husband ate most of it (I took the part that the cheese sauce didn't touch), but I wasn't a huge fan. I will say though that the customer service was excellent and the staff member working was super friendly and spoke perfect English, so if you don't speak great Japanese they will engage with you in English. A beer and the parmigiana was 2300 yen.
