Soraku-en - Japanese Garden
The Sorakuen Garden was built at the beginning of the 20th century on the site of the main residence of Taijiro Kodera. In the 1940's, the garden was handed over to the city of Kobe, making it accessible to the public. The park itself is a typical Japanese-style park with a pond and a tea house. Something very special can be discovered at the pond. An old 17th century houseboat originally built for the feudal lords of Himeji. Also located on the site of an old Wohnhuas of British businessman K. Hassan, which is a mix of Western and Japanese elements. The Garden is really nice, if you want to escape from the busy Kobe city life.
