Super expensive and quite frankly soulless shopping experience

Ginza Six isn't really the kind of shopping mall / department store in which you can walk around, picking and prodding at items and maybe make the odd purchase. Unless you've got loads of money. For those who haven't got loads of money, it doesn't seem, to me at least, to even be a place in which enjoy the atmosphere -- this is a place solely concerned with getting visitors to buy brand fashion, or just get out. The aesthetics of Ginza Six have been kept to a minimal and are colored in the least offensive gold / beige possible -- presumably to act as a balance to the offensive prices. The consequence of this though, is that every floor looks exactly the same -- completely boring. Designers were probably acutely aware of this when they enlisted the mad stylings of artist Yayoi Kusama to hang a few of her spotty pumpkins from the ceiling, although these were only to be a temporary feature. Shop wise then, the only thing of interest for this shopper in Ginza Six is the Tsutaya Book Store, which I have to say, sterling use of space and one of the more attractive book store one could hope to find. It also boasts a nice cafe. Ginza Six has a rooftop garden. The views are not too shabby but the eye will be restricted by the high glass walling.
