Excellent tourism and culture hall
This has got to be one of Japan's best tourist information centers and ought to be a model for others. It's a great base for starting your exploration of Asakusa as the tourism information staff are very helpful. When we visited, the staff ushered us to a space where we could sit and leisurely plan our day. Cheers to the planners who designed it for everyone. The first floor has an accessible toilet (ostomate and assistance bed) and the second floor has a nursing room. You can connect to free wifi and top up your batteries here, too. For residents, the conference rooms are available for culture and industry promotion events.

Great view of Nakamise street from above
The Asakusa Culture and Tourist Information center is conveniently located just south of Kaminarimon and Nakamise Street. You can actually go up to the eight floor and get a photo of the street from above. Its a beautiful view at night when they have the street and temple lit up. They open until 10 pm so you can enjoy the view at night. Moreover, there is no charge. There is also a restaurant on that floor. The center also holds events, such as cultural shows, which are usually free, but you often need to pick up a participation ticket in advance.

Utility In Asakusa
I am totally with genkidesu that this place is great because of the utility it offers. Sometimes Asakusa is just a bit too crowded, and this is my little safe spot to go into for some warmth and some quietness. The washrooms are ALWAYS clean. The observation deck, although not that high, is more than enough to enjoy Asakusa from a different angle. Every time I pass by it, I always walk in. At this point, it is a habit now.

Great for visitors and locals alike
I love the Asakusa Culture and Tourist Information Center for a few reasons, none of which have to do with being a tourist, but everything to do with convenience. If you're in the area with young kids, the building has clean restrooms, baby changing facilities, and nursing rooms. There's free WiFi too, which is always handy if you're out and about. There's also a nice view from the building out over the surrounding area - you can get some great shots of the Kaminarimon/Sensoji from the 8th floor observation deck. If you have any interest in architecture or design, the building is cool from that standpoint too - it was designed by Kengo Kuma! Also, if for any reason you do need help with finding something in the area, there are English-speaking staff on-site.
