Famous hydrangea and castle scene

The Kisai Hydrangea Road is quite famous within Saitama Prefecture. I'm not sure if it is well that known further afield, but judging from Instagram it does attract people from far and wide! Thousands of a white variety of hydrangea called Annabelle grow along the sides of the paddy fields in front of the Kisai Castle. Unfortunately it is just a replica castle, but it plays its part well! Normally there is a festival on when the hydrangea in bloom. However, in both 2020 and 2021 it was cancelled due to the pandemic. When the festival is on, one of the highlights is a rickshaw. You can get a photo in a rickshaw pulled by someone in traditional garb, with the castle in the background and flanked by beautiful white fluffy hydrangea and rice fields.
