Kogome Hot Spring (こごめの湯)

A Relaxing Hot Spring Bath

Kogome Hot Spring is a very nice onsen. It is not fancy, or exciting and not in a hotel. It is just an onsen that at ¥1000 was a bit expensive, but I think also worth the price. There are separate baths for men and women which alternate by day. It also has a small number of omiyage on sale at the front desk. There was also a restaurant, though that had closed before I arrived. The day I went, the women were assigned the smaller, simpler of the two bathing areas, apparently. The locker room was spacious, and had lockers for valuables as well as cubbys to place your clothes as you bathed. The bath area had the common, seated shower units with rinse-in shampoo and body soap available. The bath itself was very comfortable. I only used the outdoor bath, and the temperature of the water was just right and the stone setting was also very comfortable.
