Quirky flower clock and Japanese garden
When I lived in Chiba City, I often cruised through this park to catch the breeze and see some green. The park is about 70 hectares that are crossed by streets creating three blocks. The park has water features, wide lawns, a huge landscape clock with seasonal flowers, and playgrounds. The background of futuristic Makuhari Shintoshin, the new city, with its futuristic cityscape. The park is also home to a traditional Japanese garden established in 1990, Mihamaen. Admission is a mere 100 yen.
