Bright, spacious, terrace seating, and long hours

Around Kasukabe Station and along Fuji Dori, the wisteria-trellis lined street at the west exit of the city's main station, there are many cafes. However, their hours are short. Many of them close at 6 p.m. So it was a surprise to discover that Kasukabe City Hall's Cafe Bloomy is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays. The cafe is in the new city hall and has two-story windows that look onto the deck with bench seats and landscaping. It's quite pretty. My companion and I opted for lemonade and berry juice. You can get light meals and sweets here. The menu features ingredients grown in the city and evocative of the city's wisteria vines. In July, August, and September, on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, the cafe has a beer hall tabehodai/nomihodai. Reserve in advance.
