A Flavor of Hongdae at Shi Chan Korean Izakaya

The Shi Chan Korean Izakaya in the heart of Shin-Okubo, Tokyo's Koreatown, offers a rich, authentic Korean street food adventure. This korean restaurant features an eclectic "pocha" (food stall) theme, inspired by the vibrant nightlife of Hongdae in South Korea. Patrons are making a fuzz about their fusion dishes such as the Shrimp Cheese Samgyeopsal Roll and the Shrimp Cheese Octopus Fondue, which are especially popular on social media. Among all the dishes we tasted, my favorite is their Korean-style chicken. This restaurant's location is also perfect since it's located near Shin-Okubo Station making it a convenient stop for both tourists and locals. The relaxing interior and neon-lit signs, transport customers straight to a bustling Korean market.
